The year is 1977, and the Marauder's are in their seventh year at Hogwarts. All is well in the Wizarding World, or is it? Rumors of a dark lord are filtering through the wizarding community and there have even been a few unexplainable deaths that have occurred. Fear is starting to build and a new Mistress of Magic is elected. Will she be able to calm the Wizarding community of its fears? Is it just a mere rumor that a dark lord is emerging?
Meanwhile, at Hogwarts, things aren't as happy as they have been in past years. James, Sirius, Peter, and Remus are in their seventh years and looking forward to end of term, when they will graduate. Dumbledore is of course, aware of this dark wizard that has emerged and is trying to gather defense against You-Know-Who.
The school itself was recently attacked and an entire section of the third floor is now gone and destroyed. The area is restricted to students for their own safety. According to the Daily Prophet, some items were hidden in the third corridor and You-Know-Who and his Death Eaters were looking for them. Did they find what they were looking for? Or did Dumbledore manage to save what he was hiding?
Because of the recent attack, students aren't allowed out of their common rooms alone and they are escorted everywhere by Prefects or Professors. As of right now, it is difficult to say whether or not the school will continue to be open for the following year. Only time will tell.
